JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for ensuring manufactured product meets quality specifications while safely handling and palletizing product to inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Set up, operate, and adjust handling and packaging equipment, from the kiln to finish, of the daily production cycle.
· Assist in all aspects of concrete masonry production line.
· Control and adjust machine settings, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and assist in repairs as needed.
· Operate forklift.
· Troubleshoot and perform repairs. Alert supervisor about machine maintenance and repair issues in a timely fashion.
· Assist to achieve weekly and monthly production goals while adhering to strong quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
· Inspection of product, once exiting the kiln, and take any required corrective actions to ensure only quality product is yarded to inventory.
· Maintain a clean and organized workstation and production area.
· Communicate with supervisor and fellow team members on safety, quality, production, equipment and maintenance.
· Follow directives from the line-lead and management.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
· The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
· Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
· Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
