MID -LEVEL PHOTOGRAPHER

The Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of photographers to work within our e-commerce studio in Clifton, NJ, bringing to life the repertoire of products on THE OUTNET.COM through high quality digital photography. You will use beautiful lighting and a strong eye for detail, thereby constantly improving the shopping experience across all brands.

Location

You will be based at our world class U.S. Photographic Studio in Clifton, NJ

Schedule

37.5 hours/week: M-F 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working in the Studio Production team alongside the stylists taking commercial digital images of products.
• Ensuring that all products are lit correctly, efficiently and creatively, in accordance with our company guidelines.
• Producing high quality and consistently beautiful images, ensuring they are correctly exposed and color consistent.
• Prepare sets, checking that all equipment is functioning, setting up appropriate lighting and keeping accurate naming of all images. Occasionally, Self-styling of product will be required
• Image selection; working with the stylist to choose images that comply with the Style Guide.
• Accurately name and archive digital asset files.
• Mark up images with clear and informative notes for the retouch team
• Crop and process images, maintaining file size specification guidelines.
• Perform quality assurance on all images.
• Test alternative imagery and share ideas
• Ensuring all images are ready in advance of daily uploads.
• Meeting mid-level personal targets and daily and weekly productivity goals

Job requirements:

• High school diploma (or foreign equivalent) plus 2 years of experience as a photographer in a studio setting.
• A strong photography portfolio that demonstrates sufficient knowledge and techniques of digital photography and lighting along with high technical proficiency in Photoshop, Capture One, Canon camera’s and PC and or Mac computers. Video/editing a plus
