Yokayo Veterinary Center is Hiring a Veterinarian Near Ukiah, CA

Yokayo Veterinary Center located in Ukiah, CA is seeking a Small Animal General Practice Associate DVM to join our practice. Competitive salary with production pay, medical insurance, 401K with company match and generous CE stipend. Relocation Assistance available, and if you're looking to relocate please note that the California State Board Exam has now been eliminated!


About us:

  • Currently a 3 Doctor practice, but could absorb 2 more due to high volume
  • Usually 2-3 Doctors working at a time
  • AAHA accreditation in process for 2023
  • dogs and cats only
  • 15 or 30 minute appointment times – you choose
  • Equipment and procedures include:
    • Digital general x-ray with Telemed consultations
    • Digital dental x-ray (newly purchased Logiq S7)
    • K-Laser therapy
    • Endoscopy
    • Cryosurgery
    • Basic and specialized dental instrumentation and supplies with a strong interest in routine dentistry, bonding, endodontics (root canals), guided tissue regeneration, and composite restorations
  • 4 day, 10 hour work day schedule with rotating Saturdays
  • Incorporating therapeutic medicinal approaches with acupuncture and laser therapy.
  • Fast paced with drop in appointments frequently
  • Variety of services offered from general wellness to complicated surgeries
  • 1 RVT currently, but 5 of our Certified Veterinary Assistants are going to school for RVT right now
    • Most of the Techs do dentals
    • The Techs & CSRs mostly do the cost estimates – you would rarely need to talk money
  • Altruistic – we do spays/neuters for a local cat rescue, and we donate lots of stuff through the local Humane Society chapter


Scheduling:

  • There are 2 open appointments each day for same day stuff that the staff can schedule (right before & right after lunch)
  • We have one drop-off space assigned between 9-9:30am
  • No appointments scheduled between 12 – 2pm each day, so you have time to catch up!
  • For urgent care/any other drop-offs they’ll always ask – you have control over your schedule
  • If it’s your surgery day, there are typically 4-5 cases scheduled in the morning, and if your afternoon stays open you can take drop-offs, etc. if you want

What we’re looking for:

  • Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
