We have a contract opportunity for a Consumer Products Packaging Designer in Hackettstown New Jersey. This position is approved through the end of the year and could be extended.

The client is an Iconic World Class Brand that manufacturers consumer food products.

Pay Rate : $37.00 / hr.

Summary :

This position is responsible for creating, developing and commercializing packaging initiatives that support core brand growth, efficiency and innovation.

This role provides technical support to troubleshoot key quality or manufacturing issues.

Job Description :

• Leads development of fit for purpose packaging platforms that are designed to maximize desirability / feasibility / viability.
• Strategic Cell Leadership Team member. Influencer for cell core growth and innovation projects. Also responsible for ideating and realizing strategic cell value leadership goals.
• Develops detailed packaging specifications to ensure quality materials and best value for money on all packaging components used at our facilities, co-packers and co-manufacturers.
• Initiates, coordinates and executes line trials at appropriate supply locations to confirm that quality attributes and performance metrics are achieved.
• Manages packaging suppliers to ensure proper execution of projects and recommends / qualifies new ones when appropriate.
• Coordinates the creation of high-quality prototypes to gauge consumer desirability, influence teams and support customer collaboration.
• Collaborates with global company counterparts to spot opportunities for scale, ensure sharing of best practices and coordination of key activities.
• Managing and measuring work for themselves as well as T1 and T2 Packaging Engineers on Strategic Cell activities

Education : Bachelor’s Degree
