Seeking a Board-Certified Colon and Rectal Trained Surgeon looking to join an Academic team of Surgeons. The department consists of nine surgical faculty members with a scope of practice including all aspects of general surgery and the subspecialties. The position in colorectal surgery is to meet the high demand for specialty of colorectal surgery, endoscopy, anorectal surgery, robotic surgery, and pelvic surgery. The candidate must have completed a general surgery residency and colorectal fellowship with an accredited training program. Candidate must possess excellent clinical, laparoscopic, and endoscopic skills and have a strong interest in teaching and mentoring residents and students. Training and/or experience with robotic colorectal surgery is desirable. The position offers the opportunity for an academic leadership role depending on the qualifications of the candidate, including surgery residency program leadership. Some general surgery call on the residents’ service will be required in year 1-2, but most case work is colorectal and will transition to 100% colorectal in 2 years without GS call. This position is a full-time, employed position that offers a very competitive salary, vacation, benefits, malpractice, etc.
