YO1 is Hiring a Maintenance( ) URGENT Near Monticello, NY

We are looking to hire a Maintenance (handyman) for YO1, a modern and unique wellness center (alternative healthcare) with guest rooms and support spaces totaling over 260,000 square feet. The position is based in Monticello, NY within Sullivan County, two hours from Manhattan and a short drive from Middletown, Port Jervis and Milford.

The Maintenance person is responsible for handling all preventative maintenance on equipment and guest rooms, respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public areas in a timely manner, complete respective and respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc. The Maintenance person is responsible for:

  • Completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned, which include preventive maintenance.
  • Completing make-ready process of vacant rooms as directed by the Facilities Engineer or Rooms Division.
  • Maintaining inventory controls for cost effective operations.
  • Utilizing basic hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Delivering all necessary and required goods to their respective owners as assigned.
  • Completing assigned special projects as directed by the Facility Engineer or Hotel Manager in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
  • 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
  • Preparing to be called into work and/or work extended hours due to snow emergencies, or other facility needs.
  • Maintaining contact as required for on-call maintenance.
  • Monitoring and maintaining all building systems as assigned.
  • Maintaining facility grounds in good condition and maintain landscaping beds and other areas.
  • Alerting Facility Engineer of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have or that may occur to the facility.
  • Assuring safety standards are used which company with all Facility, City, State, Federal and OSHA guidelines.
  • Performing grounds maintenance work using approved equipment and procedures as needed such as; ride on mowers, manual mowers, gas powered trimmers, chainsaws and blowers.
  • Remove snow and ice buildup during winter months.
  • Adhering to all facility and department standard operating procedures.
  • Performing other related duties as required and assigned.

This is full time job with PTO after satisfactory completion of 90 days probation period.

  • Minimum 1 year experience or related work.
  • Must demonstrate basic carpentry, wallboard, painting, minor electrical, plumbing troubleshooting/repair skills.
  • Require a High School Diploma.
  • Must be able to swim.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of electrical and gas-powered maintenance and construction tools.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain the ability to work independently as well as in a group to accomplish goals of the facility.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicles Record.
  • Must possess valid authorization to work in the United States.
