RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SPORTS OFFICIAL:

• Officiates at games and records wins and losses.
• Develops positive relationships with participants, coaches and parents.
• Controls the conduct of game play and spectators.
• Operates all equipment properly and promptly reports any problems.
• Sets up and maintains a clean playing area.

• This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A SPORTS OFFICIAL:

• 16 years of age or older, dependent on age of participants
• Current state approved first aid and CPR certification
• Up-to-date knowledge of YMCA guidelines designated for the league
• 6 month minimum experience in refereeing
