The Ipswich Family YMCA is seeking a dynamic and inspirational individual to join our team as Director of Operations. This leadership position is accountable for leading operational activities for the Ipswich Family YMCA including membership, wellness programs, camp, sports & adventure, early education, and school-age child care. This role is critical to ensuring that the Ipswich Family YMCA strengthens the communities it serves and supports the mission, vision, and values of the YMCA.

Key accountabilities include: providing day-to-day direction and support for all operations at the Ipswich Family YMCA to ensure all budgetary and non-budgetary commitments are met, reviewing current membership and program offerings to determine which programs provide the best engagement and net impact, ensuring schedules best meet community needs and interests. The Operations Director will develop and implement recruitment, be innovative and creative with retention and recapture strategies to increase revenue while keeping up with the current trends. The successful incumbent will have the proven ability to establish and implement a business plan, prepare and manage a budget, develop financial and operational mitigation plans, leverage success to maximize impact and build and manage teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful operational leadership experience, including management and supervisory experience
  • Positive history of leadership in the areas of volunteer and staff development, operations and financial management, strategic planning and execution, and community and donor cultivation
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Experience in marketing and managing a mission-driven organization
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to conceive, develop, and implement innovative program offerings aimed at increasing engagement
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
