Job Description

Job Title: Building Supervisor

Pay Rate: $14.00 - $15.00/hr

Job Status: Part-time

Job Summary: Monitor the building and enforce the YMCA's rules. Assist staff, members and guests. Perform cleaning/maintenance tasks. Properly opening and/or closing of the Facility.

Reports to: Facilities Director

Qualifications

Applicant must be at least 18 years old. Previous experience is preferred, training will be provided. The applicant should possess the ability to read and write. If applicant is not certified in CPR/AED and First Aid upon being hired, certification training will be provided by YMCA Staff. Open availability to work early mornings and evenings preferred.

Physical and/or Mental Requirement

Must have the ability to stay alert to potential safety and security problems and to carry out instructions independently. Must have sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. May be required to be outside and/or in uncontrollable climates for extended periods of time.

Job Duties

1. Responsible for the assigned light cleaning tasks. All tasks to be completed with a mindset of risk management.

2. Perform sidewalk/exterior clean up. Disposes of trash.

3. Reports issues with the building/guests and any items that need attention.

4. Assist Facility Director and/or other staff in various tasks.

5. Assist members with questions/concerns and give excellent customer service.

6. Properly opening and/or closing of the facility.

7. Enforcing rules and policies to insure safe usage of the Y by members and guests.

8. Performs tours of the building as need as well as assisting the front desk with any issues.
