Thursday 1pm - 4pm
Saturday 1pm - 4pm

Job Summary:

Performs routine janitorial duties to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of facility.

Must be at least 18 years old. Six months or more of related experience preferred. Must be able to read. Should possess the ability to communicate and get along with people of diverse backgrounds is required. Get SMART, CPR/AED and First Aid preferred. Upon hire, must complete Intro to the Ys Cause & Culture, Y's Way to Service & Engagement, and I Hear You: Service with CARE.

Special Skills or Equipment Required:

Must have the ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner, including ability to read labels, MSDS information sheets, and instructions.

Physical and/or Mental Requirements

Must have the ability to stay alert to potential safety and security problems and to carry out instructions independently. Must have sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Maybe required to be outside or uncontrollable climates for extended periods of time.

Job Duties

1. Responsible for day to day preventative items that could include painting, changing of filters for air units and/or pools, general plumbing, changing of light bulbs, etc.
2. May assist in day to day custodial needs based on branch needs for the day.
3. Performs various duties such as dusting, and maintaining entrances and offices.
4. Reports items that need repair.
5. Performs sidewalk/exterior clean up. Disposes of trash.
6. May set up furniture for special events.
7. Performs preventative maintenance as needed.
8. Create a nurturing and safe environment by reporting suspicious activity that may lead to child abuse or may violate the code of conduct. Keep supplies organized, maintain and clean facility and care for equipment.
