YMCA of The Pikes Peak Region is Hiring a Grants Manager Near Colorado, CO

Overview

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Development, the Grants Manager executes and oversees the grant development process to include identifying and researching funding opportunities, building relationships with foundations, writing proposals, and submitting all required reporting and documentation. This position also supports program and center staff seeking grants for YMCA initiatives while also providing guidance and support on data collection methods to document program outputs and outcomes.

This is a hybrid position with an expectation of a minimum of 5-10 hours in office each week.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of grant proposal development, compliance monitoring, and reporting process
  • Researches and identifies new grant funding opportunities
  • Manages an effective tracking and reporting system for accurate grant evaluation, quality compliance, and outcome attainment for funded programs and initiatives
  • Ensures all timelines and expectations established by funders are met or exceeded
  • In collaboration with program and center staff, develops meaningful program outputs and outcomes to include in all funding requests. Assists YMCA staff with the design and implementation of data tracking to include surveys, data collection, and other feedback mechanisms in support of established funder parameters
  • Partners with YMCA staff and Executive Director of Development to execute site visits with current and potential funders
  • Manages and implements an organized system of communications to effectively steward funders; manages and monitors funders’ requirements for recognition
  • Accountable for securing $500,000 in grant funding within 12 months from date of hire, with approximately 15-20% of funding donated from new or lapsed sources
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Three to five years of successful experience in grant development and management
  • Successful and proven track record in developing successful grant proposals, to include developing relationships with funders and managing all required grant reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skill, particularly the ability to read, analyze, write and edit reports according to prescribed style and format
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Ability to collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, reason and solve problems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong follow-up skills
  • Experience in a nonprofit environment strongly preferred
  • Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software
