SCHEDULE: Sunday-Tuesday, and Thursday 3-8pm
PAY RATE: $12.00/hr
A camp cook is responsible for creating recipes and preparing all meals served at an outdoor, tourism, child care, or recreation facility. This person also monitors the safety and sanitary levels of activities within the kitchen to ensure that the food is cooked in a clean and safe environment. Camp cooks prepare and make a large amount of food for campers, camp staff, or guests while working efficiently off of a budget.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift more than 30 pounds including unloading food, carry trays and dishes, lifting supplies and equipment as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to large cooking appliances and tools found in a kitchen environment. The noise level in the work environment can vary from quiet to loud depending upon the task at hand and activities occurring. Primarily the position is indoors but may require going outdoors to help unload food delivery or deliver lunch to outdoor groups. While the majority of this position is indoors, the employee could experience daily exposure to outdoor conditions which will vary depending upon the weather, including but not limited to, sun, heat, humidity, rain, cold, snow, etc. Must be able to handle regular exposure to outdoor plants and animals such as poison ivy/oak, bugs, snakes, bats, etc.
