YMCA of Snohomish County is Hiring a School-Age Child Care Lead (Mill Creek) Near Bothell, WA

Availability: Monday-Friday; must be available for shifts between 6:30am - 9/9:15am and 1/3:00pm - 6:00pm (Afternoon times may vary on early release days.) 

Location: Location may vary depending on site needs. We have 9 SAC locations at local elementary schools (Cedar Wood, Forest View, Little Cedars, Penny Creek, Silver Firs, Silver Lake, Tambark, Totem Falls and Woodside).

Position Summary:

Provide direction for the program and staff, and implement program curriculum in a safe, enjoyable, positive and inclusive environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Implement daily lesson and activity plans
  • Supervise all children and activities within program area
  • Regularly observes, schedules and completes evaluations for each child
  • Maintain communication with parents, conduct regularly scheduled parent conferences, and engage parents as volunteers
  • Maintain materials, equipment, and program facility
  • Maintain required program records
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age 18
  • Meet educational and experience qualifications established by Dept of Early Learning (DEL)
    • Have a high school diploma or equivalent;
    • Have completed twelve college credits in any one hundred-level or above college coursework within five years of employment
  • Provide document of all certification and training requirements established by DEL, including position prerequisites, current negative TB test, and portable background check
  • Plan, organize, and implement high quality developmentally appropriate programming
  • Fluency in second language preferred
