Power Scholars Academy (PSA) is a summer learning loss prevention and academic intervention program. We support scholars from all over San Francisco and San Mateo County in developing their academic foundation, as well as social emotional and critical thinking skills. Over the course of the summer, scholars spend 3 hours per day, four days per week with credentialed teachers reviewing math and literacy concepts to help catch them up to grade level and prepare them for the year ahead.
Power Scholars Academy Teachers are responsible for implementing curriculum for K-8th grade students, working closely with assistant program leaders to ensure scholar and family engagement, and communicating with families around scholar progress and supports.
Power Scholars Academy programming is scheduled for June 2024 - July 2024, though dates vary slightly by program. Training begins May 2024. Trainings will be aligned with program specific and individualized training needs. Additional trainings such as CPR and Child Abuse Prevention are required.
