Salary Range: $18.32 - $23.52 Hourly
Description
The YMCA is looking for part time Red Cross certified Instructor to provide quality instruction, training in CPR, First Aid, AED, Lifeguard and/or Child Care Health and Safety. Offering flexible schedules including weekday and weekend shifts and instruction areas across Orange County. Trainers do travel to training destinations, but can be focused in a central area.
Responsibilities/Duties: Ensure the Y is well represented publicly with a professional demeanor at all times through attitude, attire and communication and interactions both in-person and online.
CPR and First Aid Trainer:
Plan and facilitate monthly CPR and First Aid classes for Association.
Follow and enforce safety training standards and all other policies and procedures.
Report and close out American Red Cross classes.
Assist with developing and scheduling the quarterly training offerings and Year At Glance dates posted.
Ensures adequate, clean training equipment for all classes.
Disinfects all training equipment after completion of classes.
Communicate the need for supplies to stay well stocked at YMCA training sites.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties & responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location
Education & Certification:
•First Aid, CPR and AED Red Cross/YMCA Instructor Certification
•Must be at least 20 years of age with at least 1 year of prior experience teaching CPR and First Aid classes
Experience & Background:
•Must be at least 20 years of age with at least 1 year of prior experience teaching or training
Once a conditional offer is made, candidates will be subject to criminal background check, drug screen, and will be asked to provide criminal history.
