ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Make meaningful connections with group of campers, fellow staff members, and families.
• Participate in 100% of camp activities.
• Plan and organize camp activities with both small and large groups.
• Arrive on time, rested and well prepared.
• Recognize and solve individual and group conflicts effectively.
• Balance camp standards and expectations with flexibility.
• Manage personal stress and stress of others effectively.
• Keep accurate daily attendance records.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe camp atmosphere.
• Attend all staff training and staff meetings – including 40 hours of mandatory pre-camp orientation.
• Understand and follow all state licensing requirements as listed in DCF 252.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Senior Counselor and/or Leadership Staff.
• Be aware of and monitor program participants for signs of abuse/neglect. If abuse/neglect is suspected it should immediately be reported to the direct supervisor or other YMCA leadership staff
