As a Program Assistant, you'll play a vital role in fostering positive relationships with students and their caregivers while helping them navigate the path towards post-secondary education. You'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people, helping them unlock their full potential and pursue their dreams.

What You'll Do:

• Build meaningful relationships with students and caregivers
• Implement the Youth Institute curriculum to support teens in achieving interest and readiness for post-secondary education, technology, and more
• Facilitate discussions and activities to engage students in learning and personal growth
• Provide guidance and support to students in setting and achieving academic and career goals
• Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment

• Ability to be a YMCA Driver preferred (valid Driver's License & ability to pass driver physical, background, & driving tests)
• Commitment to inclusivity, ensuring every member feels welcome

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years old or older
• Experience working with youth in an educational or mentoring capacity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish rapport with students and caregivers from diverse backgrounds
• Current Adult & Pediatric First Aid/AED/CPR Certification from ASHI, American Red Cross or American Heart Association or willingness to obtain the certification within 30 days of hire
