YMCA of Greenwich, CT is Hiring a Marketing Coordinator Near Greenwich, CT

The YMCA of Greenwich is seeking a motivated and dynamic Marketing Coordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing our organization's visibility and engagement within the community. Under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Coordinator will support all marketing efforts by the YMCA of Greenwich and will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing various communication channels, and ensuring that our messaging effectively reaches our target audience. The ideal person for this role will be an organized strategic thinker with great time management skills, initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work with others in a supportive and collaborative role. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

● Previous experience in marketing, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.

● Extreme attention to detail and ability to notice “the little things”

● Strong writing skills with the ability to create compelling content for various platforms.

● Creative thinker with a willingness to share and act on innovative ideas.

● Proficiency in social media management tools and email marketing platforms.

● Ability to provide insightful reports on the success of marketing campaigns.

● Excellent organizational and time management skills.

● Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.

● Fast learner who can independently conduct research and problem-solve, adapting quickly to new tasks and challenges.

● Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and basic email systems.

● Proficient in Canva, Adobe InDesign, or similar design software.

Essential Functions

● Develop engaging blog content for the YMCA website, catering to members, staff, donors, and community stakeholders.

● Craft informative and captivating press releases to be distributed to local news publications, highlighting YMCA initiatives, events, and achievements.

● Oversee and maintain active presence on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

● Create and schedule engaging posts to promote YMCA programs, events, and community involvement.

● Regularly update the YMCA website with fresh content, including new program listings, banner image changes, and important announcements.

● Produce a bi-weekly member newsletter, ensuring it contains all the latest updates on events, programs, and important news from the YMCA.

● Manage various messaging channels such as text alerts, app push notifications, and community calendars to keep members informed and engaged.

● Utilize Constant Contact to create visually appealing and informative emails.

● Maintain and update email contact lists with new members, subscribers, and relevant groups.

● Provide regular reports on the success of marketing campaigns across all channels, including engagement, open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.

● Manage the process of sending out direct mail campaigns to targeted audiences, ensuring effective communication and engagement.

● Ensure the YMCA follows brand guidelines consistently throughout the facility and across digital platforms and resources.

● Design Y-branded graphics for facility signage, social media, website, and other marketing materials.

● Other duties as assigned.
