RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values
• Collaborate with the retreat and management team to design and develop activities and experiences that cater to a diverse range of participant interests and goals.
• Provide a warm and welcoming environment for guests, addressing their needs and concerns throughout their stay.

• Offer guidance, reflective exercises, and actionable takeaways that participants can apply to their daily lives and beyond.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and make real-time decisions to maintain a positive and seamless guest experience.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with participants, staff, and management to provide timely updates, instructions, and information about the retreat schedule and logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid Driver’s License
• Strong facilitation skills and experience leading workshops or group activities.
• Experience working with all ages
• Enthusiasm for outdoor activities, nature, and wellness programs
• Ability to live on site and in cabin during scheduled program times.
• Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all feel welcome.
• Current First Aid, CPR, AED certifications a plus

STATUS : Part-time; Non-exempt, Seasonal

STARTING SALARY : $425 / week

We are searching for dedicated and energetic Seasonal Groups and Retreats Facilitators to guide and support participants in their journey towards community growth, personal growth, and finding a connection with nature.

As a facilitator, you will design and deliver engaging workshops, activities and experiences that align with YMCA Camp Piomingo’s mission and values.

• Positively impacting & mentoring a diverse community of all ages
• Housing and some meals provided for the duration of the retreat camp season (August November); (March May)
• Ability to work with university job / internship requirements
• Community Wide Individual Membership
