The Youth Sports Coordinator is responsible for supervising and monitoring sports and teen programming. This position also plans and delivers effective classes and activities in youth sports for YMCA members and program participants. They plan and implement Sports Camp programming. They will assist in marketing and special events. They might assist with interviewing, scheduling, and supervising some staff.This is a Part Time position.QualificationsHigh school diploma required, Associates Degree in related field preferred (Recreation, Sports Management).Current certification in areas required for designated program areas: Examples, First Aid, CPR, AFFA, NSCA, NESM, or ACE certificates.Minimum of one year's experience in programming/program growth.Minimum of one year experience in staff supervision.Program expertise to instruct the class when assigned when assigned instruction is unavailable. Have a general knowledge of skills required to teach activities such as Basketball, Football, Soccer, and Baseball is up to date on current trends.
