POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position will have overall responsibility for the direction and supervision of the Before & After School Enrichment site, including staffing, programming, and budgeting.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
He/she must have the ability to demonstrate understanding of program development and management; demonstrate knowledge and understanding of MSDE regulations; demonstrate problem solving skills and reasoning ability; effective and efficient time management; demonstrate capacity for managing and leading people; excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and coaching skills, and organizational skills; ability to exemplify a “Y-Voice” that demonstrates determination, genuine concern, welcoming attitude, hopefulness and a nurturing spirit.
Understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization; maintain a work ethic that holds a high standard to organizational accountability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Personnel Management
Maintain stable, high quality staffing which complies with licensing regulations and insures strong leadership and creative programming at all sites.
Fiscal Management
Adhere to annual site budget guidelines
Work with Regional Director and Marketing Director to develop and implement a marketing plan to boost enrollment if needed.
Program Management
Insure high quality programming to be compliant with MSDE guidelines and provide a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for all participants and staff.
Administrative
Perform all administrative function as they relate to the BASE department and site operations.
