GENERAL FUNCTION: The School Age Enrichment Leader is a vital member of a team of people with the goal of providing excellent care for school aged children (K-5th grade) during out of school hours, holidays, and camp days. Under the guidance of the Site Director, he/she will be responsible for direct supervision of children, implementation of planned daily activities, and maintenance of all aspects of the program environment. He/she will make every effort to develop and foster a positive relationship with the children, their parents, school personnel, and community members. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 1. Must be able to articulate and communicate effectively while instructing participants. 2. Must have a positive attitude and ability to work independently. 3. Content area expertise, and willingness to learn and apply skills. 4. Must have outstanding verbal, written, and technological skills (familiar with utilizing Google Drive). 5. Ability to effectively manage a group of 20-25 school age children. 6. Ability to identify student learning needs and be able to deliver appropriately. 7. Ability to recognize children’s social and emotional needs and address appropriately. 8. Ability to take constructive criticism and apply it in day-to-day operations. 9. Ability to thrive, adjust, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 10. Willingness to be a team player and assist wherever needed.
