Teen Program Program Coordinator

Location: Eldon and Elsie Ward Family YMCA

Salary: $18.50-20.50 per hour

CONNECT WITH STUDENTS DURING THE SUMMER

Duties include:

• Responsible for the collaborative planning and implementing of daily Teen After-School programming
• Coordinate and support special events, family programming, teen-specific programming and activities with direction from the Youth Experience Director
• Work closely with school and Y personnel to ensure positive outcomes for students and connection between the school, students, families and the Y.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with Y employees, school personnel and administration, students and families.
• Assist with transportation supervision
• Maintain written attendance data, meal count records, collect assessment data and provide reports as necessary.
• Represent Ward YMCA teen programs at community events and resource fairs
• Operate daily groups in a ratio of 1:20 comfortably
• Create a welcoming and engaging environment for a diverse group of young adults ages 11-17
• Facilitate group games, physical activities, STEM and creative arts projects, and more!

Qualifications/Requirements:

• At least 21 Years Old
• Education, Recreation Management or similar related Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Available to work between 9am-6pm
• Reliable transportation
