Summary:

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and plan production based on labor capacity availability; developing production schedules and labor requirements while working with Extrusion leadership in order to produce goods in a timely manner by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Plan and schedule daily workflow for each press according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
• Analyzes production capacity in order to determine manpower requirements.
• Confer with department manager or supervisor to determine status of daily schedules.
• Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Prepare reports and data for presentation at the daily Extrusion Manager Meeting and the production planning meeting.
• Prepare daily schedules based on optimum capacity.
• Plans production schedules around critical work centers in order to meet lead times based on order sequences.

Education/Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Must have at least 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably in a production scheduling or planning role.
• Preferred: Associates or Technical Degree.
