Job Summary:
Here at Yingst Appliance, we're looking for a self-motivated and energetic Sales Representative to join our experienced and customer-focused team. You will be responsible for helping to drive sales and maintain a friendly and productive environment in a family-owned, brick-and-mortar appliance store. You must have a proven track record of excellent customer service, possess strong communication skills, and be efficient in data entry and processing customer transactions. Prior experience in the appliance industry is a plus, but not necessary. As part of a small but mighty sales department, the ability to be a team player is paramount. Friendliness, efficiency, trustworthiness, and excellent follow-through are the pillars of our customer service foundation, backed up by decades of industry experience. Though sales is the primary focus of the position, at Yingst Appliance we wear many hats. These will include sales, receiving, merchandising, service, and potentially even delivery and installation. This broad scope of responsibilities creates a knowledgable and well-rounded salesperson.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Assist customers in-store, on the phone, and via webchat in purchasing major home appliances, providing top-notch customer service and support
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and business partners
- Present and demonstrate products to prospective clients
- Collaborate with the sales team on in-store projects, sales strategies, and day-to day operations
- Meet or exceed sales targets on a regular basis
- Assist team with processing inbound shipments of appliances and merchandising sales floor
- Move appliances daily in-store and around property with appliance dolly
- Perform small mechanical tasks related to appliances (reversing doors, converting gas appliances to LP gas, leveling doors and legs, etc.)
- Work closely with installation and service team to help provide seamless customer experience
Skills:
- Proven experience in sales and customer service
- Proficient computer skills (typing, data entry, internet)
- Excellent communication skills (in-person, phone, chat)
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Team-oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Some basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Ability to identify and use basic hand and small power tools
- Experience with appliance dolly operation a plus, but will provide training
