Driven from Chef Debbie’s Northern Korean ancestry, our goal is to provide our guests with a taste of tradition, while also creating new, palate-forward experiences for all to partake.

Job Description : As a Host / Hostess at Joseon, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience.

Your warm demeanor, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service skills will ensure that every guest feels welcome and valued from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities :

Greeting Guests : Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and professional demeanor. Engage with guests to understand their needs and preferences, providing assistance and guidance as required.

Seating Arrangements : Manage the seating chart efficiently, ensuring that guests are seated in a timely manner and that tables are allocated appropriately based on party size and seating preferences.

Reservation Management : Maintain accurate records of reservations, managing both online and phone bookings. Confirm reservations and accommodate special requests whenever possible.

Maintaining Lobby Area : Keep the lobby area clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times. Ensure that menus, promotional materials, and other relevant items are readily available for guests.

Communication : Effectively communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating arrangements, manage wait times, and address any guest concerns or special requests.

Assisting Guests : Provide guests with information about the restaurant, including menu items, specials, and upcoming events.

Offer recommendations and answer any questions guests may have.

Problem Resolution : Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.

Teamwork : Collaborate with other team members to create a seamless dining experience for guests. Support fellow staff members during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
