COMPENSATION: $12.75-$15.24 per hour

We serve the students of Houston, Texas, the 4th largest city across the United States. THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and assisting all incoming parents, students, and visitors;
- Maintaining and administering the telephone system by answering and processing all incoming calls in an efficient and rapid manner; be solutions oriented in managing telephone system;
- Maintaining an appealing physical environment including reception area, storage rooms, conference rooms, and other rooms as requested;
- Assisting in student attendance tracking;
- Providing support for teachers, staff, students and parents upon request
- Filtering and distributing office mail and faxes;
- Helping manage and facilitate Main Office procedures such as supply requests, copy requests, laminating requests, and other requests as needed;
- Implementing standards, policies, and procedures for filing, records maintenance, and other clerical services;
- Managing daily administrative operations including establishing work priorities, and resolving problems related to day-to-day operations of the office;
- Creating school monthly calendars;
- Additional duties as assigned.

MUST HAVES
- At least 2 years of an exemplary record working in a fast-paced office environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Excellence organizational skills including time management and follow-up
- Strong command or word processing including exemplary spelling and grammar skills
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to exercise excellent judgment in decision-making

THE PERKS
- Compensation – This position is a non-exempt, hourly position; offers commensurate with experience.
Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $10 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20 hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
Retirement Plans – Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and a 457 Retirement Plan.
- Paid Time Off – Employees working 20 hours a week receive 12 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
Please note, part-time hourly employees (working fewer than 40 hours/week) do not receive pay during system closures. Additionally, 10- and 11-month hourly employees do not receive pay during the months in which they are not working.
