Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. the makers of YellaWood® Pressure Treated Pine, has an immediate opening for an INDUSTRIAL Maintenance Technician at its facility in Tuscumbia Alabama. Located directly off Hwy 72 in Shoals Commerce Park.
2 years of plant maintenance or Industrial maintenance experience is preferred, and a valid driver license and high school diploma or equivalent are required. Regular shift hours are 3pm-11pm, Monday-Friday. Additional hours are to be expected.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Preventative Maintenance program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
• Analyze problems and interpret technical information necessary to make required repairs (troubleshooting of equipment issues).
• Perform mechanical, electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility support equipment.
• Inspect, operate and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and validate work performed.
• Ensure safety by following all company policies including safety rules, procedures and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures, complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted, and maintain complete records of work performed.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years of Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC Knowledge preferred.
• Welding, plumbing, and pipe fitting experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time (except for break and lunch periods), climb, perform repetitive motions, and work in a damp, loud environment. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic chemicals.
