It is our Mission at Yealy Eye Care of York to treat patients as if they are family. Our doctors and staff are committed to treating each patient’s vision and health needs to the highest ethical standards. At Yealy Eye Care we strive to provide the best Optometry services available to the York and Lancaster community.

We are looking for a Technician to work hand in hand with our doctors to get patients ready to be seen. To be successful as a Technician, you should have a pleasant personality, excellent customer service skills and feel comfortable utilizing medical equipment to perform optometric testing for patients. Bilingual, Spanish speaking applicants are encouraged to apply. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to perform special tests: Visual field, OCT, fundus photos, topography, IPL, Tear Care, etc.
  • Provide excellent customer service ensuring the patient is comfortable during testing
  • Communicate test results with doctors
  • Comfortable with computers and working with an Electronic Health Record
  • No previous experience needed. We will train you to succeed.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Bilingual, fluent in Spanish is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
