Yates Industries is Hiring an INTERNAL SALES SUPERVISOR Near Austell, GA

Summary 

Possesses the ability to lead and have responsibility for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market. Staffs and directs the customer service and inside sales team and provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth to align with the company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contribute to the development of training and education programs for staff. Manages multiple tasks, sets priorities, and meets deadlines while understanding a job shop and manufacturing environment by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily Internal sales team activities and drive performance excellence.
  • Manage Internal Sales team to ensure growth of product knowledge and sales skills for success in achieving sales goals.
  • Communicate with customers and prospective customers.
  • Initiate and coordinates development of action plans for Internal Sales team.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Internal Sales team. 
  • Strive for continual improvement of processes and procedures to optimize efficiencies.
  • Monitor performance and development of Internal Sales team.
  • Assist outside sales team to achieve new business and reactivating lost accounts.
  • Coach and train employees on all corrective action request forms, Issue App, and other quality tracking procedures.
  • Track and monitor all departmental errors and coach/train staff on improving accuracy.
  • Approve employee time and vacation in ADP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises the employees in the Customer Service and Inside Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Made2Manage order processing systems, and Sugar CRM contact management systems.

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Good math aptitude
  • Good computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, and Sugar CRM
  • Great communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to wear safety glasses and hard sole/close toed shoes with a low heel when walking through the manufacturing shop and/or repair shop whether as part of performing their job or just passing through. In addition, long hair must be tied back when around hazards of flame, machinery, or equipment.
