Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious forklift operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move materials, including Coil materials, Steel pipe within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both 5-ton and 10-ton forklifts and be capable of navigating tight spaces while maintaining visibility and avoiding damage to materials.

Duties:

• Operate various types of forklifts, such as Sit-down forklifts, side-shifting forklifts and Combilift
• Safely load, unload, and move materials, equipment, steel coil, steel pipe, etc.
• Safely maneuver the forklift in tight spaces and around obstacles, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Inspect and maintain the forklift to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate material movements and prioritize tasks.
• Assist with inventory management by accurately recording material movements and reporting any discrepancies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the warehouse leader

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certification
• Proven experience as a forklift operator, with proficiency in operating both 5-ton and 10-ton forklifts.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operation.
• Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills to collaborate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating side-shifting forklifts.
• Experience on long object load(26 to 32 ft long pipe).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
