Position Summary:

Controlled Air, Inc., a leader in commercial and industrial HVAC/Building Automation innovation, service, and installation, seeks an experienced HVAC service technician apprentice for field service operations. Responsibilities include working under the supervision of a license technician corrective and preventive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC equipment, as well as start up support for new installations. We are looking for a hard-working individual who is motivated, strives for excellence, and seeks a long and lasting work career.

**Please note! Controlled Air Inc, participates in the State of Connecticut Apprenticeship D2 and S2 programs**
Job Functions:

•Resolve repair issues, develop job estimates, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance.

•Maximize utilization and productivity: complete and submit proper documentation, develop, and maintain partner relationships, conduct after-sales technical support and HVAC maintenance training.

•Trouble shoot, identify, and resolve customer concerns, while maintaining awareness of pertinent customer information, serve as "eyes and ears" for the company with the customer.

•Submit accurate transactions and complete timecards in a timely manner.
Supervisory Responsibility:

None
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•Installation and troubleshooting skills for heating and cooling systems.

•Finding and fixing the source of a problem

•Finding or altering replacement parts

•Installing individual parts (pumps, pipes, fans, etc.

•Performing preventive maintenance as needed
Job Qualifications

•Be available to work overtime and stand within a scheduled night service rotation.

•Valid driver's license

•US citizen or valid permanent worker

•EPA universal refrigerant certification
