What You Will Be Doing:
As the System Administrator, you will join the infrastructure team to help manage servers, workstations, and mobile devices. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that servers, workstations, and mobile devices receive updates on a frequent basis. This position will also participate in vulnerability assessment and remediation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Network / Server Setup and Maintenance: Design, install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, servers
- Software Deployment: Deploy and manage applications, updates, and patches on servers.
- User Account Management: Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement backup solutions and recovery procedures.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor server health, performance, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system-related issues promptly.
- IP Address Management: Manage IP address allocation and subnetting.
- Network Security: Implement security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Network Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize throughput.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Who We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this position you should have previous experience supporting Microsoft Windows in an enterprise environment. You should also be experienced with automating solutions.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields, Technical Certifications, or equivalent working experience
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- 3 years supporting Microsoft Windows in an enterprise environment
- 3 years PowerShell scripting and automation
- Working knowledge of SQL Server a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft HA and clustering technologies
- Experience in VMWare virtualized environments.
