Assist maintenance department in performing machine-specific preventive maintenance.
Perform machine-specific cleaning procedures.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Working Conditions:Works inside the plant where there is a great deal of noise. The work may be dusty, dirty and greasy. Exposed to chemicals in coolants and handles sharp-edged metal.
Physical Effort: Works on a hard surface; stands stoops bends and lifts heavy objects (approximately 100 lbs.). May operate more than one (1) machine at a time.
Safety Equipment:Wears safety shoes, glasses, gloves and earplugs where required.
Qualification Requirements: High School diploma or GED; one (1) year machine shop certificate or equivalent experience; ability to read a blueprint; basic math ability, working knowledge of metric measuring system, and experience in the use of calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.
Additional Preferred Qualifications: Some technical level courses; basic programming training. More than one (1) year of experience in the machine shop and/or die making.
