Position Description
Responsible for all labor tasks associated with our service capabilities.
Responsibilities

• Installing erosion and sediment control devices
• Driving wood stakes into the ground with sledge hammers
• Applying grass seed, fertilizer and lime to work areas
• Applying straw blanket and straw to restored ground areas
• Sweeping and shoveling mud and debris off of construction roads
• Installing T-post and safety fencing
• Installing geo-textile fabric below aggregate installations
• Cleaning track equipment
• Loading and unloading construction material and tools
• Spotting heavy equipment while in operation
• Removing debris from right-of-way accesses

Qualifications
Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, wih ability to read and write fluently (English).
• Able to follow directions and communicate in a civil manner with others.
• Valid driver's license.
• One or more years of experience in construction.
• Ability to travel out of town during the week or on weekends, and work extensive overtime.
• Excellent stamina - this is a physical job requiring strength, balance, mobility and dexterity.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, chop saws, grinders and other miscellaneous hand tools.
• Knowledge of safety hazards of construction projects.
• Skill in reading and interpreting Access and Construction Plans (preferred).
• Be able to report to work at the designated location and start time.
