POSITION TITLE: Marketing Coordinator

ROLE SUMMARY:

The purpose of this role is to support and strengthen Yabu Pushelberg’s brand strategy team. The Marketing Coordinator will help facilitate the development of promotion material, manage organic social media across Instagram and LinkedIn, coordinate global design award submissions, organize project photography, and support big picture brand strategy planning.

At its core, the Brand Strategy team merges storytelling with business pragmatism. This merger of creative and operations require a dynamic way of thinking. Success measures include supporting the evolution of the studio’s social media and a streamlined approach to Brand Strategy’s organization and processes. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the studio’s Communication Manager. No travel required.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage social media content creation and daily posting, ensuring frequency, tone and voice are aligned with overall brand strategy across Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Organize and manage all photo assets, preparing project photography requests for press.
• Organize Yabu Pushelberg’s media coverage process: monitoring, tracking, and preparing press clippings.
• Create collateral for Yabu Pushelberg’s Brand Strategy team such as presentations for press conferences and project proposals.
• Coordinate awards competition entry process, providing content when needed in collaboration with other teams.
• Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions to help drive Brand Strategy.
• Research stay up to date with industry trends news, specifically social media, events, and marketing.
• General administration: scheduling appointments, calendar organization, filing, and data entry.

CHARACTERISTICS FOR SUCCESS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field of design.
• 1-3 years’ experience in administration, marketing, PR, or communications in-house or at agency.
• Required: Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft Office daily.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills, detail orientated with an ability to focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as on a team, share ideas and share creative approaches to branding efforts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize as needed.
• Excellent research, editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Capable communicator who can simplify complex information into compelling, easy to understand narratives for a variety of audiences.
