Position Summary Description:Responsible for the collection of delinquent account. Facilitates resolution of billing disputes with customer service, account manager and management within tight time constraints and keeping management informed of the status of important accounts. Will assist with Credit Memo processing. Collection Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews Accounts Receivable Aging Reports to determine delinquent accounts.Responsible for the collection of delinquent accounts based on Aging reports.Investigates and verifies financial status and reputation of customers applying for credit and preparing documents to substantiate findings.Works collaboratively with the account managers and customer service while maintaining the integrity of the company’s credit practices.Facilitates resolution of billing disputes with customer service, account managers and management within tight time constraints, and keeping management informed of the status of important accounts.Achieves monthly collection goals via effective collection calls, consistent coverage of entire assignment and adherence to department policies and procedures.Performs reconciliation as needed.Maintains confidentiality of company and customer information in both internal and external business dealings.Maintains a professional approach in dealing with customers, sales staff, peers and varying levels of management both inside and outside the company. Prepares documents and files for referral of accounts to outside collection agencies.Performs similar and related duties as required by Supervisor.Credit Memo Duties:Verify returns for accuracy, identifies reason for return of merchandise, and codes all discrepancies during the processing of credit memos. Files and maintains all credit memo invoices and supporting documents.Mail and Email invoices. Education/Training and ExperienceAssociate degree in business administration, Accounting or related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Must have minimum two years of credit and collections experience
