THE ROLE : The Sr. Driver Technician will be responsible forsafe operation of a DOT regulated vehicle, transporting materials / equipment from point A to point B.

This role initiates and executes field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner, works with more advanced and multi / complex systems, proactive system troubleshooting, works with mechanical, electrical, diesel equipment conditions (based on the requirements of the assigned role / customer), and anticipates and corrects safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment).

The Sr. Driver Technician has direct interfacing with customers and may be responsible for work in multiple systems / locations / customers.

QUALIFICATIONS :

HS diploma or equivalent

Ability to obtain a CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements

Preferred :

Technical military background

Tech Cert, Degree, or industry specific license(s)

Experience Requirements :

Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)

Ability to obtain DOT Medical card

Clean driving record

3 to 7 years of technical work experience

Ability to drive overnight

Ability to cross-borders and obtain valid passport

Ability to drive difficult routes

Ability to understand weight requirements / weight distribution

Skill Requirements :

Electrical, mechanical, diesel, fusion experience depending on business unit

Work without direct supervision and provide coaching / training to junior-level technicians

Technically sound

Experience with Microsoft Office

Must have customer service experience

Demonstrate critical thinking and complex troubleshooting ability

Synthesize technical information and communicates it clearly

Derive insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve complex problems often in novel and unexpected ways

DAY IN THE LIFE :

In this role, the working environment isfrequently outdoors with exposure to multiple weather extremities, use of PPE is required, exposure to hazardous material, loud noise, etc.

and the physical demands may include but not limited toregularly sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, lifting up to 50lbs, etc.

In addition, this role may require some travel and participation in work on weekends, nights, after-hours, and an on-call rotation as a regular part of the job.

SALARY :

The estimated hourly range for this position is $23.00 to $30.00 / hr. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
