THE ROLE: The Product Data and Pricing Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, generating actionable insights, and creating reports and dashboards to support informed decision-making within the organization. In this role, the incumbent will also collaborate with key business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements in support of business metrics and performance. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Gather data from various sources, including databases, ERPs, spreadsheets, and external APIs.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Design and develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools (primarily Excel/PowerBI, but also cloud-based CRM applications).
  • Present data in a clear and understandable manner to facilitate decision-making.
  • Develop a familiarity with datasets such that you can assist business users to use data to drive fact-based decisions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by implementing data quality checks and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.
  • Integrate data from various sources to create a unified view of the organization's data.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests and provide timely insights.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights on performance trends.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with BI tools and technologies and suggest improvements to existing processes.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Must be approachable, collaborative, and have the ability to influence others through interpersonal skills, thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and be comfortable quickly shifting priorities on short notice.
  • Experience working with pricing, product portfolio performance and profitability a plus.
  • Deep working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
  • Proficiency in Excel tables, pivot table summaries and flat-file data management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
  • Adequate SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation (with a desire to learn more).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
