Xylem, an Aveda Salon & Spa, is looking for an honest, outgoing, passionate, detail-oriented and self-motivated employee to assist guests in having the best experience at our salon and spa by efficient scheduling, introducing products and services to enhance their visit, offering value-added services such as hand massages and makeup touchups, and helping with the day-to-day activities of the salon to run smoothly. Responsibilities

• Guest management: greeting, check-in/check-out, update client files, make confirmation texts/calls, maintain professional language and attitude with guests, resolve guest concerns
• Appointment management: ability to memorize service prices/times/phone script, schedule and update guest appointments, manage flow of guests, maximize service providers' schedules

Sales: achieve retail and service sales goals, provide retail product demonstrations and rituals, introduce complementary products, services or promotions to guests

Team support: light housekeeping such as laundry, sweeping, washing dishes, dusting the retail shelves/products, replenishing the retail shelves, replenishing restroom supplies, preparing coffee/tea, updating service providers regarding schedule changes, assist in training new hires, inventory

General skills: proficient in the tools of the job (phone, computer, software, credit card machine), attend team meetings, on-going customer service training and product knowledge, stay up to date on team communications

Marketing/Social Media: Initiate and maintain in-house and external marketing, including regular postings on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior Salon/Spa Industry experience or other customer service industry
Retail Sales experience (must be able to embrace and believe in AVEDA'S mission and its products)
Extremely Organized, attention to details and accuracy
Basic Computer skills a must

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentage)

Ability to add and subtract time
Knowledgeable in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
