Xtreme Installations is Hiring an Electrical Helper Near Orlando, FL

Xtreme Installations is a locally owned audio/video integration company out of Sanford, FL. We specialize in designing and installing custom low voltage solutions, home theater systems, smart home automation, lighting systems, motorized shades, video surveillance, alarm systems and access control systems in residential and commercial environments. In addition to low voltage projects, we recently expanded into the high voltage electrical field and are currently looking for a hardworking and dependable electrical helper to assist our team. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in residential new construction and basic knowledge of low voltage systems. We are searching for someone who is motivated to help build our brand and be an integral part of our well-established and growing company.

Responsibilities and Duties

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with both the low voltage integration and new construction electrical segments of Xtreme Installations
  • Helping electricians on residential new construction projects
  • Assisting technicians in the field on A/V service calls and large scale projects
  • Installing electronic equipment, devices and accessories - includes TVs, speakers, amplifiers, processors, projectors, racks, conduit and raceways, control systems, networking hardware, communications equipment, security systems, motorized shades and lighting control systems
  • Running and testing wire in new and existing structures - including speaker, communications, control, audio and video cabling
  • Installing boxes, wire, devices, lighting, breakers, and equipment in accordance with local and National Electric Code
  • Interpreting specifications, blueprints, and system drawings
  • Communicating effectively with the Xtreme Installations team on daily status updates

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1 or more years of electrical field experience in residential new construction
  • 1 or more years of low voltage experience
  • Experience and familiarity with Crestron equipment is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Exceptional time management
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Flexible and has a positive attitude
  • Hard worker who is willing to learn

Qualified Candidates Must:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have a valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record to drive company vehicle
  • Have full time availability, including occasional weekend and/or overnight shift to meet client's needs
  • Have the ability to pass pre-employment background test
  • Be capable of performing physical labor, such as carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Have the ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, working within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceiling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 50 per week
