We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Order Picker Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking orders using a forklift, ensuring the correct items are selected and staged for shipment. The Order Picker Forklift Operator will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment and adhering to all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to pick orders from shelves or storage areas based on pick tickets or instructions.
• Ensure accuracy in picking orders by verifying part numbers, quantities, and item descriptions.
• Stage picked orders in designated areas for shipping or delivery.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift, ensuring proper stacking and securing of items.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting cycle counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping floors, organizing shelves, and disposing of packaging materials.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production goals.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues to maintenance staff.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and fulfilling customer orders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift operator certification and experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting.
• Proven ability to accurately pick orders and maintain inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for operating a forklift.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
