Shifts

• 7 AM to 3:00 PM
• 3 PM to 11:00 PM
• 11 PM to 7:00 AM
• 40 hour per week & 16 hour per week schedules available

Job Duties

• Provide direct care to clients, carrying out behavioral care plans that aim to promote positive behavioral skill acquisition and also the reduction of behaviors when necessary.
• Assist clients with daily tasks such as grooming, meal preparation/feeding, and taking medication.
• De-escalation of crisis situations and redirection of behavior to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and clientele.
• Provide transportation to and from essential appointments and outings via a program van/vehicle.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED (required).
• Six (6) months of prior experience providing direct care and special services to persons with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of training for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 6 months of initial employment and obtain RBT certification within twelve months of initial employment.
• Completion of DSP I & II training course including the competency tests or pass the department-approved challenge tests applicable to both training segments. Proof of prior successful completion of both training segments and competency exams will meet this requirement.
• Valid and current driver’s license.
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
