Head Varsity Baseball Coach

Xavier is currently accepting resumes and letters of interest from candidates interested in serving as the Head Varsity
Baseball Coach beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. Ministering in this capacity at a Jesuit high school is an
invitation to animate the Ignatian Vision of the community, care for students, and collaborate with colleagues to advance
the Catholic, Jesuit mission of the school.
Qualifications

• Direct and care for the entire Baseball program, including but not limited to, student-athlete and coach

• Build a cohesive team through a culture of trust, dedication, perseverance and love.
• Participate in teacher and coach formation programs.
• Assist in the daily needs of the school such as prefect duties.
• Participate in the co-curricular activities in the Xavier community.
• Understand and commit to the Profile of the Ignatian Educator and the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm.
• Attend departmental and faculty meetings.
• Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, faculty and staff.

The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum requirements for any position at Xavier College Prep:

• Be willing to serve as a guide with and for students on their formation journey as an Ignatian Educator and

• Demonstrate skills in organization and collaboration, especially in developing the Boys’ Basketball program
• Demonstrate respect and professionalism, always in keeping with the school’s mission.
• Effectively relate to students and build healthy positive relationships.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate the willingness and ability to listen to develop mutual trust with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Be generous with time and talent, and willing to go beyond the specific job description in service to the school.
• Have previous coaching experience at the Varsity level.
• Preferably have a background in Jesuit education.
• Demonstrate the willingness to work with a diverse student body.
