Xanterra Travel Collection is Hiring a Winter 2024 Housekeeping Positions- Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming Near Yellowstone National Park, WY

Overview

Housekeeping Positions(Yellowstone National Park Winter 2024)

Yellowstone National Park Lodges hires ~300 people to operate 2 lodges and 3 restaurants from December 2023 to March 2024. The work schedule is typically 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays). Time and a half is paid above 40 hours.

  • As a Housekeeper aka Room Attendant ($14.25/hr), you will clean and prepare rooms (strip rooms, make beds, clean toilets) for our guests. With the best in service courtesy and care, you will be responsible for making guest accommodations comfortable and inviting. A typical shift includes servicing 14-20 rooms.
  • As an Inspector ($17/hr), you will complete the inspection process to ensure rooms are exceptionally clean and ready for guests' arrivals. A key part of this job is the ability to develop and mentor a well-functioning team of Room Attendants.
  • As a Porter ($15/hr), you will clean our hotels/lodges' public spaces (registration buildings, public restroomslobbies, etc.) and provide a welcoming environment to our guests.

Responsibilities

Applicants for a Housekeeping job will be considered for the following positions based on skill levels and business needs:

Room Attendant

  • Responsible for cleaning guest rooms and making them comfortable and inviting.

Porter

  • Responsible for cleaning public spaces of our hotels/lodges and providing a welcoming environment to our guests.
  • Ability to work on a small team or independently while staying motivated and on-task.
  • Customer service experience is preferred as this position involves more guest interaction than the other housekeeping positions.

Room Inspector

  • Provide our guests with the best in service, courtesy, and care.
  • Provide supervision of Room Attendants, ensuring that guest units are cleaned properly and in a timely manner by inspecting guest units continuously and thoroughly.
  • Communicate with the Housekeeping Manager/Assistant Manager on Room Attendant progress and concerns.

Bell

  • Provides several services to guests such as luggage transportation to and from rooms, and information about the location and shuttle service when necessary. 

Valet 

  • Drive guest vehicles from the hotel entrance to a nearby designated parking area. Candidates applying for this position must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Positions only available at Lake Hotel.
Qualifications

We are looking for those who possess strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. You don't need any specific qualifications to be a Housekeeper or Porter - we provide on-the-job training for everything you need to know! Being an Inspector requires prior knowledge of hotel/motel housekeeping procedures.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk, stand, bend, kneel and climb up and down stairs for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Ability to push or pull up to 200 pounds occasionally when moving linen bins.
  • Working with chemicals
  • Good communication and time management skills
