Job Summary

The Oasis at Death Valley Hotel Concierge will work at the main entrance desk. The Hotel Concierge is the first to meet our guests, so the first impression of our hotel depends on the concierge's friendliness and efficiency.

Our ideal candidate tends to guests' needs and ensures stellar services with a confident, patient, and helpful attitude.

The Details : Position Type : Full-time Year-roundStart Dates : April or May 2024Pay : $17.30Schedule : Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days / per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers upon entrance and confirm reservations at hotel / restaurant.
  • Act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements
  • Understand customer's needs and provide them with personalized solutions by suggesting activities and facilities provided by the hotel and local vendors.
  • Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises and the nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations
  • Arrange events, excursions, transportation etc. upon request from hotel residents.
  • Answer the concierge phone, make dining reservations, distribute messages or mail and redirect calls
  • Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
  • Assist hotel staff as requested.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as concierge; experience in customer service or relevant role is an advantage
  • Proficiency in English; multilingual is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Polite and confident with a great deal of patience
  • High school diploma; degree in hotel management or relevant field will be a plus
  • Working knowledge of reservation management software
  • Ability in multitasking and time-management
  • Aptitude in resolving issues with a customer-focused orientation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated work experience in the hospitality industry
  • Clear customer service skills that demonstrate measurable results
  • Willingness to learn about local attractions, events, and dining options

Physical Requirements include

Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;

talk or hear; and taste or smell.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme conditions which include extreme hot conditions in the Summer.
