XAL Inc, a leader in the lighting manufacturing industry, is looking to hire in our mechanical department. The main priority for the Machine Operator will be picking material for use in production and cutting aluminum and plastic profiles.

Pay is negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Picking material to be used in production using either walk behind or sit-down electric forklift.
• Following drawings and work Instructions to ensure parts are manufactured to specifications.
• Use up-cut saw to cut aluminum and plastic profiles.
• Measure and inspect completed parts for accuracy and defects.
• Reports any defects of material or equipment to supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of material being used.
• Process completed jobs on computer.

Requirements:

• Must be willing to learn how to operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts
• Required to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to bend and reach overhead
• Must be able to work under deadline pressure
• Organizational skills are key
• Ability to learn general computer programs (Microsoft, ERP System, etc.)
