Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Operations associate join our team. As a Ops associate, you will be responsible for transporting goods and products to various locations in a timely and efficient manner. Your role will involve operating van or cars to deliver supplies, equipment and people to job sites. Also you will manage stock, a small warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport goods and products to designated locations
- Load and unload items from the delivery vehicle
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documents
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during deliveries
- Warehouse duties , such as organizing inventory and stock, clean equipment and vans.
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Ability to operate different types of vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, box trucks, vans, etc.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands associated with loading/unloading items
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing vehicle inspections and maintenance
