Position Title: Custodian – 1st Shift

Location: JSHS

Custodian Reports to: Director of Facilities, Safety and Security

Min. Janitorial Wage Rate: $15.00/hour

Custodian Job Description:
This janitorial position is responsible for performing all necessary duties to ensure the cleanliness of District facilities as well as communicating regularly with students, staff and supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

• H.S. Diploma, Associates degree preferred

• Prior experience working within this craft preferred

• Valid Driver’s License

• Excellent communication skills

• Mandated clearances as required by PDE upon hire

Required work skills include, but are not limited to the following:

• Must have ability to handle diversified job duties and work independently with minimal supervision and a high degree of attention to detail.

• Must be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and students.

• Must possess proper judgment and good decision-making skills.

• Must have a high degree of adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing building needs

• Must have ability to recognize and respect confidentiality.

• Must have ability to move, turn, bend and lift as needed.Minimum Custodian
