Position Summary
The Inventory Supervisor supervises the activities of the Inventory team responsible for daily inventory activities. Supports manufacturing and safety objectives.
- Assists Inventory Control Manager with selection and performance management of employees and recommending compensation
- Maintains attendance and enforces policy
- Recommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, improvements in procedures and working conditions, and process modifications
- Reviews work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to procedures and quality and safety standards
- Manages internal inventory control processes and handles exceptions
- Manages inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs; provides weekly and monthly reports
- Maintains inventory metrics, including tracking, reporting, and root cause analysis
- Maintains department database, prepares routine reports, and files records
- Operates dolly, pallet jack, and forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap machine and assist in routine equipment maintenance
- Follows departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety rules
- Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of inventory experience
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience a plus
- Licensed forklift truck operator
- Supervisory skills
- Ability to deal with conflicts and employee issues in a professional manner
- Computer skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
